Cancer Services:

Convenience in healthcare is paramount when it comes to a patient's well-being, comfort, and care, especially when it concerns patients who are fighting cancer. For this reason, Carson Tahoe chose to include the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center as part of its 80-acre master planned medical campus. As a result, the cancer center and the regional medical center have a symbiotic relationship; each entity has an inherent value, but together they create a mutual advantage. In this case, it is the patient who reaps the rewards with compassionate and seamless cancer care.

The 35,000 square foot freestanding cancer center defines "comprehensive", thanks to its two full-time medical and radiation oncology private practices; state-of-the-art technology; and extensive support services. For those who need additional medical support, Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center is standing close by with its broad safety net of critical services.

In March of 2007, Carson Tahoe Cancer Center received accreditation by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer, the highest standards of excellence when it comes to cancer treatment, intervention, support and after-care.

In addition, Carson Tahoe's acclaimed cancer program received an unprecedented nine out of a possible nine commendations for high standards by the commission in key areas such as clinical trials, quality, and tumor registry. This perfect mark earns Carson Tahoe the honor of being the only cancer program in Nevada to receive accreditation with commendation.
